Frequently Asked Questions
We know you have questions, so we created this page to assist you in understanding why this measure is so important for the citizens of North Dakota.
Let’s begin answering some questions.
Why do we need an Election Integrity Act?
In 2022, the Guardian static poll revealed 40% US citizens do not believe Biden legitimately won the election. Yet in June 2023, NBC reported 68 % citizens were convinced of voter fraud in 2020 election. After watching the Biden administration, less than 1/3 of the public denies fraud. The voice of the majority wants to be assured that when you and I vote, our vote will count.
Who is funding this Act?
This is an all-volunteer effort. No special interest group is funding this effort. We are a group of people from around North Dakota who want election integrity through the ability to verify our elections. If you want to be a part of it, email EIActND@gmail.com.
Doesn't this measure take us backwards in advancement with technology?
Technology is a wonderful tool if used with integrity. Did you know that individuals within our state from every county requested a report call “Cast Vote Record”. This report is required to be printed, file and sent into EAC. Brian Newby denied each FOIA stating that they do not have that report. Our ES & S voting system states on their website that internal audit logs are built in. With emails and letters from every county asking for redacted logs or an audit, why did Brian Newby deny all request? We want to assure the people of North Dakota that our government is running our elections with integrity.
We cannot count all the votes in one night.
Rest assured we can! If we open polls in every precinct, the number of ballots to process decreases significantly. If France can count their votes by hand in one day so can North Dakota. We have done it in the past and we can do it now. We already have a lady lined up to teach the process for getting it done and doing it effectively.
It appears long, will anyone understand your measure?
The measure is three pages long which includes procedures of implementing it. It is available for anyone to read on our website. If there is something that you do not understand, contact us at EIActND@gmail.com with your questions. We are here to assist you.
North Dakota does not have any election problems, so why now?
If we don’t have verification of an election, it becomes a selection and your voice is not heard. Since voting integrity is essential for a free state, all the elections shall be verified by any qualified elector (s) of the state or citizen of the US. No citizen should be denied access to election information. Auditing is a tool to assure that your statement is valid and true. To give such a statement it would have to be backed up with proof through election audits. No audit or recount has happened since 1889. Over 100 years the people’s employees ran elections that have never been historically verified according to Secretary of the State on 9/06/23.
Will this deny votes to the handicapped?
This measure will ensure everyone’s votes counts! We are removing software driven machines and public drop boxes which can be easily manipulated to erase your vote.
What made your group come up with something like this?
We saw the issues here and across the nation as we watched the legislators shoot down all good integrity bills, so we the people decided to exercise our rights on our behalf and yours.
Don't the Globalists have enough power in this state without destroying our elections?
Election integrity is bipartisan. This measure will take power away from state government and return it back into the hands of the people. Both Democrats and Republicans are for transparency. Transparency only comes with verification. How can anyone be against that?
Why don't you want legislators putting Constitutional Amendments on the ballot?
At the conclusion of Lincoln’s Gettysburg address, his speech is cited as saying that the essence of American system is that government of the people; by the people and for the people shall not perish from the earth. Legislature which infringes on the power reserved to the people has been amended to our state constitution on the ballots in the past without legislators circulating a petition. The change for the need for legislators to be forced to circulate a petition same as a citizen, gives the people the ability to strengthen our government by establishing fair practice for all. That which is good for the citizen should be good for the legislators. After all, they should be of the people and they work for the people, to pass laws by the people.
Why would you prohibit the gathering of signature on a petition to qualify a candidate?
The two-party system has dominated the system for decades. The election system has turned into ideology of loyalty to a set party. This has evolved into special privileges for the party ran elections. By setting requirement of signatures on a petition to run for office, this can eliminate a lot of competition for the main party lines. You should able to run for office without the cost of circulators.
Every time a person's candidate doesn't win, they are going to want to do a recall, right?
A recall can only happen with preponderance of evidence. Right now, there is no transparency in our elections. You can verify that by going to: https://verifiedvoting.org/auditlaw/north-dakota/ Preponderance of evidence means— the burden of proof is met when the party with the burden convinces the fact finder that there is a greater than 50% Chance that the claim is true.
What is wrong with Rank Choice Voting? Fargo does it
Thomas Hares advocated for SIV— the single transferable vote in 1860. This is called today the Rank Choice Voting. There was fear among the elite that the growing middle class, the majority of votes, will displace the establishment in the government. This system was pushed to transfer votes. By 1960 all cities except Cambridge MA had repealed Ranked Choice Voting. In 2014, it found its way back through push of foundations like “Fair Vote” with major donors like George Soros. RCV violates the one person equals one vote rule. The formula used alters the voter’s number of votes based on redistributing votes based on ranks of the losing candidate. Basically, the voters who voted for the bottom candidates actually gets more chances of their vote to count like a lottery with their 2nd, 3rd choices; however, the voters who voted for the candidate with the highest number of may lose their victory after redistribution. Yet, their only counts once! How fair is that? This is a method of protecting the established governing officials. To learn more about RCV, see Ballotpedia.
